Where Can I Get Free Web Traffic?

Posted by admin in Living With Traffic on January 5th, 2009 |  Comments Off

If you are looking for some ways to get free or cheap web traffic, here are some ideas of ways to start.

1. Link Exchange - There are many link exchange services online that can help you speed up the link exchange process. You can choose websites that fit your websites theme to help you get more relevant traffic. You would be surprised how much traffic can come into your website after exchanging links with 100-200 websites. It is definitely worth the investment of your time because the web traffic will come in indefinitely for free.

2. Web Directories - Stick with only the free directory listings. There are only a handful of web directories that are worth paying for. Most directories are worth submitting to if they are free. If you have submitted your website to about 50-100 free directories, you should be able to get a steady stream of free traffic from your listings.

3. Write a Press Release - Submit an article to PRWeb about a newsworthy topic relating to your website. This will bring in a small amount of traffic, however, if you pay to upgrade your Press Release submission, you will get a significantly higher amount of traffic coming in. This upgrade can be anywhere from $30-$80 or more to bring in more traffic. The majority of the traffic comes in throughout the next month after your Press Release is distributed.

Start your web marketing with cheap and free ways to bring in traffic. You can start building your website’s reputation and client base without breaking the bank.

Outsourcing means fast efficient turnover and a competitive edge

Posted by admin in Web Infos on January 5th, 2009 |  Comments Off

An invaluable tool to business growth is outsourcing. It can be used strategically to influence corporate growth and financial stability.

The key is to outsource work which is non-essential or areas where the company lacks expertise. This frees valuable resources which can focus on areas of competitive advantage.

Growth can be enumerated in many ways not just in costs saved.

When you outsource a specific project you save on time and resources spent on training required to complete the project successfully. You can harness the talent, technology, and expertise of niche providers. By outsourcing, you can appoint a consultant or company who has core competencies in the field and can complete the project within the given time. The company saves on hiring permanent employees, training, benefit payments, hidden costs, absenteeism, requirements of workspace, and equipment.

The company focuses on core aspects and transfers the nitty-gritty of non core aspects to outsourced companies. This just means fast and efficient turnover as well as a competitive edge.

Outsourcing is a way to maximize workforce flexibility without the added burdens of permanent financial commitments. One uses highly qualified consultants who can complete a particular project in no time at all.

Time is money and by outsourcing a company saves valuable time which can be channeled productively, leading to growth.

Capital is used efficiently without unnecessary wastage in overheads, office space, technology, and training. Outsourcing spurs growth by providing skilled manpower and increased productivity at lower costs. If the outsourcing is selected intelligently, it leads to tax breaks saving the company thousands of dollars.

Further, business risk is shared by the outsourcing company which will know how to minimize or avoid risk in their area of expertise.

The business world is moving at a fast pace and companies need to provide quick service and low rates. Outsourcing allows a firm to do just this, provides the most advanced technology, efficient service, and low rates.

A company can, by outsourcing certain sectors provide in house support which will not be otherwise possible without expansion. So, one can gain economies of scale, efficiency as well as expanded expertise.

To summarize, growth of a company when outsourcing is adopted can be evinced in:

* Cash flow. * Emphasis on core competencies and long term value creation.

* Minimization of risks by reliance on experts.

* Using external talent and technologies when essential and keeping overheads small and manageable.

* Infrastructure of large firms without associated burdens of large offices, greater number of permanent employees, and hidden costs of maintenance.

* Improved process and project deliveries.

* Service improvements.

* Technology infusion.

* Little or no capital investments.

* Better project costing.

* Asset conversion.

In the modern world outsourcing is an intelligent way of handling a growing business poised for success in every field. also freelances for Submit free Press Release Site

The Stilling of the Storm

Posted by admin in House Of Religion on January 5th, 2009 |  Comments Off

Matt. 8:23-27; Mark 4:35-41; Luke 8:22-25.

General Pericope Distinctions

In the gospel of Mark, the “stilling of the storm” and the whole sea sequence follow the day of parables. In Matthew, this story and the split sequence come in chapters eight and nine; the day of parables comes later in chapter 13. Luke agrees with Matthew in noting the presence of the disciples, Mark has an independent “they” throughout the passage and no mention is made of the disciples. Mark’s command in 4:3 is omitted here by Matthew who uses it to introduce the preceding passage (8:18). In Luke and Mark, Jesus stills the storm first and then admonishes the disciples. In Matthews, the action is reversed; Jesus rebukes the disciples and then stills the storm. One of the oddest features in Matthew is that it begins the story with “the disciples” but ends with “the men.”

Exegetical Interpretation

None of the synopsis’ give specifics regarding the day and time when the stilling of the storm occurred. Mark and Luke simple indicate, “That day.” Mark 4:35 shows that the crossing of the lake happened on the “evening” of the day when the discourse in parables had been pronounced. Luke suppressed the mention of the late hour of the day but his verse (22) can be easily harmonized if we view the first gospel as being topological rather than chronological.

When Jesus concluded His teaching, he commands the disciples to cross with Him to the other side of the Sea of Galilee. The reason for this decision is undisclosed and can therefore, only be conjectured. Seemingly, the prevailing view assumes that Jesus was enervated and desired rest from the pressuring crowd. Walter Bundy in his book “Jesus and the First Three Gospels,” suggest the possibility that Jesus may have desired seeking a new sphere for his ministry which Mark 8:35-39 seem to support.

The disciples, obedient to the command of Jesus, board the boat with Him. In the Lukan form of the story, the phrase “and his disciples” would mean the twelve and the women of 8:1-3; cf. 8:9. This is in stark contrast to the vague Markan “they” and “them.”

The “other side” was the district of Decapolis, east of the Sea of Galilee. This side was more rocky and barren and not as heavily populated with people as the western shore. Thus being, it became a natural refuge from the active life of the western coast.

The sudden “squall” as used by Mark and Luke was not extraordinary. The Sea of Galilee, which is said to be approximately 685 feet below sea level, was surrounded by mountains on almost all sides. Particularly at night (”as evening drew near”) a storm could develop quickly.

The Greek word employed by Matthew, “tempest,” properly translates “an earthquake,” while “squall” as used by Mark and Luke signifies a “hurricane.”

Mark add the graphic picture of the waves breaking into the ship and mentions the dangerousness of the predicament. In contrast to the raging sea and storm outside the ship, Jesus is sleeping serenely inside the ship. Luke depicts Jesus’ falling asleep before he mentions the squall while Mark mentions it after he discusses the storm. Jesus’ falling asleep suggests He was subject to human fatigue and required a human necessity - rest. There are theologians who propose Jesus wished to test the disciples’ faith and others who add that Jesus’ weariness may be considered voluntary because it was intended to assist the weakness of the disciples.

According to Mark, Jesus was “in the stern, sleeping on a cushion.” Neither Matthew nor Luke mentions Jesus’ location on board the boat. Luke omits the disciples’ plaintive query about Jesus’ nonchalance and apparent lack of concern about His and their welfare. The disciples awaken Jesus.

Most commentaries draw attention to the somewhat gentler versions of Matthews and Lukes’ statements: “Lord, save us, we perish” (Mt. KJV), “Lord, save us, we’re going to drown” (NIV), “Master, master, we’re going to drown” (Lk., NIV), Master, master, we perish” (KJV). The most glaring feature is the boldness of Mark: “Do you not care if we perish” (RSV), “Master, carest thou not that we perish” (KJV), “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” (NIV).

The cry expresses fear, panic and indignation and the disciples seem to hold Jesus responsible. The storm did not disturb Jesus but it obviously did the disciples. Death appears imminent to the “chosen ones” and they resent Jesus for having the temerity to sleep during the crisis. It is at that moment that the disciples’ humanity prevailed over their faith and they were overtaken with fear.

Mark and Luke records Jesus’ reproach of the disciples following the stilling of the storm. In Matthew, the opposite is true. Opinions seem divided as to the exact order. Paul Ryan in “Gospels of the Sundays” made this observation.

“St. John Chrysostom, preferring the order given by St. Matthew, speaks thus: ‘Before Christ would still the tempest of waters, He, by this rebuke, first calmed the souls of His disciples. He did so that they might be in a better condition to witness the miraculous exercise of His divine power, and to learn the lesson which the miracle was intended to convey.’”

Jesus rebuked the wind and the waves and all became immediately quiet. It is Mark alone who gives the actual words Jesus spoke, “Peace, be still,” which literally means “be muzzled.” Barclay also notes that Jesus uses the exact same words here speaking to the wind as He had to the demon possessed man in Mark 1:28.

Jesus’ reprimand to the disciples was sharp and may have been tinged with anger and disappointment. The disciples’ faith was insufficient to enable them to believe that Jesus, though sleeping, was still watching over them by His divine power, and could save them.

5 Keys to Understanding Why Your Life (probably) Sucks! #3

Posted by admin in Universe Of Self Improvement on January 4th, 2009 |  Comments Off

The outcome of Reason # 2 is that you become your own
worst enemy. That, in turn, leads on to Reason # 3 where

You place more value on doing than being

If you are at war with yourself, chances are you don’t
like yourself very much. How many other people who call
you to account, who expect more of you than what you
achieve are on your best friends list? That fact is as
true in your relationship with yourself as it is in your
relationships with other people.

The trouble is, you can distance yourself from others; you
have to live with yourself. So, one of the ways to come
to terms with that reality is to minimise the focus on who
you are (which we have determined you don’t really like)
and increase the focus on what you do.

After all, you can’t do much about who you are (or at
least so you think) but you can choose what it is you want
to do with your life.

There are lots of people who are playing the same game.
How often after being introduced to someone does the
conversation get around to what you do for a living.
In answer to that question, depending on the situation, I
often answer “breathe”.

I get some very strange looks at times! I might then
follow that up with a comment about who I am and how my
understanding of myself finds expression in the type of
work I do. If I meet with a glazed expression from the
other person, (which happens much of the time) invariably
the conversation moves back into ’safe’ territory until he
(it’s most often men who have that response) can find an
reason to excuse himself and move to someone less
challenging.

Ever so occasionally If find someone who responds
positively to my little joke and I have developed long and
respected friendships with many of those people.

What happens when someone asks you about your work
situation is they are looking for where to place you in
their hierarchical structure. And chances are, if you are
not where you would like to be in the world of “doing”
you will make your employment out to be more than it really
is.

For example you might say ” I work in the movie industry”
when you serve behind the counter at the local video hire
store.

On the other hand you’ll find people who will say ” I’m
just a …..” usually followed by ‘housewife’ or ‘mother’ or
some equally significant role that forms the very backbone
of our social fabric. Have you noticed though, that many
women are now ‘playing the game’ and rather than a
‘housewife and mother’ they have become the ‘manager of
domestic affairs for a small business’.

Then, if you are retired, chances, are you are not just
retired, but a “retired accountant” or “bank manager” or
whatever it was you did before you to the point where you
were told you were too old to work

And that, of course, is a large part of the problem. When
your worth is related to what you do, rather than who you
are, it follows that when you no longer do anything (at
least anything considered productive) it follows you are no
longer worth anything.

For someone who achieves their sense of self worth from
doing, retirement or retrenchment is a devastating blow.
Yet no one, at least to my knowledge, in the wisdom that
comes when dying has ever said “I wish I spent more time at
the office”.

Isn’t it interesting that those who are faced with a
shortening of life, function from a totally different
perspective from the rest of us. For those people, it is
in ‘being’ that they find the meaning to life. It is
relationships they treasure the most.

Perhaps the saddest thing of all is that it often takes
something life a life shortening illness for people to find
true perspective and genuine purpose in life.

How to Boost Your Sales Letter Conversion Rate

Posted by admin in Uncategorized on January 4th, 2009 |  Comments Off

Emotion and reason mix very well together to make excellent sales techniques. Expert copywriters, while
writing their sales copy in a systematic and methodological way, use emotions and emotional triggers all the
time.

The famous Robert Collier must have been a real master of this technique. When I studied some of his letters,
I discovered the use of emotional triggers so subtle that you hardly notice them. What a wonderful way of
selling.

Using emotion sales techniques brings results, as the example of Collier may show.

Some people however, consider such methods, especially when emotion is used, as some sort of persuading “art”.

It isn’t!

On the contrary.
Sales techniques and methodological selling are systematic processes of measurable and iterative milestones,
by which the offer enables the buyer to visualize the end result or how to achieve her goal in a profitable
way.

Emotion in daily life is the reflection of someone’s mental state of existence. Commonly emotions are based on
physical (internal) and social (external) sensory feelings.
Pleasure and sadness, delight and disgust, love and hate, bravery and anxiety can all be described in both
physiological and psychological terms.

Sometimes emotion is considered to be the exact opposite of reason. Indeed, occasionally emotional reactions,
often undesired by the individual experiencing them, can’t be controlled by reason. But most of the time in
daily life this isn’t true.

More often than not, passion, emotion, or feeling is backed by logical arguments. Moreover, researchers
suggest that typically there is no thought based “purely” on emotion or “purely” on intellectual logic. Most
cognitions and conclusions are founded on a mixture of both.

That’s why emotional sales techniques work.

In our modern society most people’s basic needs like physiological, safety and belonging requirements (the
lower levels of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Human Needs (http://www.maslow.org/sub/mas_notes.htm) are
fulfilled. So their needs come from the top of the pyramid: the need for status, fame, glory, recognition,
attention, reputation, appreciation, and dignity, even dominance. Higher (sub) levels involve the need for
self-respect, including such feelings as confidence, competence, achievement, mastery, independence, and
freedom.

As Maslow pointed out so perfectly, in order to achieve a higher level on his pyramid you need to have your
lower needs taken care of, at least to a very considerable extent.
That’s where the fear of loss comes in. Almost always triggered by an emotion, followed by logic and reason
that tells us that this indeed could happen.

Insurance companies know this. And they use it in their commercials. A perfect example of emotional sales
techniques.
Another one is used for skin care products: ‘Because You Deserve It!’.

You see, we are emotional creatures.
We think emotionally, act emotionally and make decisions emotionally.

I can proof that, but I don’t want to be flamed, so I’ll take my own spouse as an example.
If I ask her why she bought that new pair of shoes, she will say, ‘I need it!’, of course.
Sounds familiar?

And how about this famous ad by David Ogilvy:

“At 60 miles an hour the loudest noise in this new Rolls Royce comes from the electric clock.”

Reading that, wouldn’t you want to experience that noise for just once?

So, we are emotional creatures indeed.
Yet nobody wants to be thought of as ‘emotional’ and therefore we use ‘logical’ arguments to justify our
purchasing habits.

People buy things they don’t need just to satisfy a desire that can’t be eliminated any other way and then
justify their decisions by using logical arguments.

That’s why emotion and reason mix very well together to make an excellent sales technique.

If you really use it, I guarantee you will profit from it.

Where To Find The Best Treadmill Review

Posted by admin in Universe Of Templates on January 3rd, 2009 |  Comments Off

If you’ve recently decided on purchasing a new treadmill for your home or office in order to lose some excess weight or simply to get in shape by improving your overall fitness level I’m sure you’ve wondered which treadmill to actually purchase. Let’s be realistic, anytime you have the possibility of spending several thousand dollars on a piece of fitness equipment you probably should do yourself some good and read the reviews on the latest and greatest treadmills. But perhaps that leads to another obstacle - which treadmill review can you trust and where can you find the best treadmill reviews?

When searching for the best treadmill review you will find yourself up against what appears to be a difficult task. The reality is for every person you find that absolutely loves a particular brand name treadmill there will be 2 other consumers that hate it or vice versa. With so many differences of opinion and everyone branding themselves as an expert on treadmill reviews, who can you trust and where can you go to find the best online treadmill review?

The first thing you must do before attempting to find the best online treadmill review is to set up several factors that will refine your search process. You should start by making a list of things that are important to you when deciding on which treadmill to purchase. For instance is price a concern? How much space will you require? How many times will you use your treadmill? How loud are you willing to let your treadmill sound during operation? Do you have a particular manufacture or treadmill model in mind? Questions like this will allow you to tailor your search requirements and allow you to find the best source for treadmill reviews quickly and easily.

As someone who just recently purchased a brand new treadmill for my home I can tell you I was initially stumped on what model to buy. I was looking for a reliable treadmill that I could fit in a smaller area. Both my wife and myself would use this treadmill on a daily basis so it had to be rugged and sturdy enough to take 2 times the normal use on any given day. I initially started my search on the Internet by simply typing in treadmill reviews but with over 3,700,000 references that proved to be a futile task at best. I simply didn’t have time to go through a vast majority of the listed websites. I did have a few treadmill models by some well-known manufactures that I wanted to research more thoroughly but again that proved to be a bad idea due to the overwhelming number of competing websites showcasing these individual models.

I finally resolved my own personal turmoil of trying to find the best treadmill review site by heading over to consumer search which is a website dedicated to finding items online. From there I proceeded to perform several searches until I found reviews of many of the models of the most popular treadmills that fit my criteria. Armed with the information I needed I made my own purchase and both my wife and myself couldn’t be happier with our decision.

As you can see buying the right treadmill can be easy or difficult. However you can make the process go faster and alleviate some of the stress involved by locating the best treadmill reviews you can find and then researching them to ultimately confirm your decision on which treadmill you should by based on your own desires.

Timothy Gorman is a successful Webmaster and publisher of Treadmill-Solutions.com. He provides more treadmill ratings, recommendations and information on finding the best treadmill reviews that you can research in your pajamas on his website.

Export Factoring - How to Use Trade Finance to Finance Your International Sales

Posted by admin in Uncategorized on January 1st, 2009 |  Comments Off

Selling your goods internationally can be extremely rewarding and challenging at the same time. When you start exporting goods, you truly open your company to a world of possibilities, including the possibility of big financial rewards. At the same time, you expose yourself to some of the challenges of international commerce.

Many international transactions are settled using bank or corporate letters of credit, which means you can rest assured that you will be paid on time. However, many of your clients will insist that you give them payment terms. This means you may need to wait 30, 60 or even 90 days before you get paid. And if your company is growing, waiting to get paid can be very tough.

Going to the bank for a business loan may or may not work. Most banks only give business loans to businesses that have a great past history. But this is of little use to businesses that have a short history but a bright future.

A better option is to consider factoring your invoices, which eliminates the 30 day wait that it takes to get paid. Export factoring (or international factoring as it is also known) can be a very useful tool for new and growing businesses.

Factoring is a form of financing, where a factoring company advances you a substantial portion on your invoices. The factoring company waits to get paid, while you get immediate use of the funds. This eliminates the cash flow issues that happen when you extend terms.

Export factoring is a factoring specialty. Actually, very few factoring companies offer international export factoring, so when talking to companies be sure to be specific and ask if they offer this type of factoring.

Many factoring companies also offer purchase order financing. This factoring product extension provides you with financing to fulfill purchase orders. Purchase order financing gives you the necessary funding to pay your suppliers, using the purchase order as collateral.

If your company is growing and selling goods offshore, be sure to look into factoring and purchase order funding as valuable financing tools to help you grow.

Becoming a Successful Internet Marketer

Posted by admin in Web Infos on January 1st, 2009 |  Comments Off

I AM SO EXCITED TO SHARE WITH YOU JUST ONE OF THE MANY TECHNIQUES I AM LEARNING ABOUT ON HOW TO BECOME A PHENOMENALLY SUCCESSFUL INTERNET MARKETER….

Dear Friend:

I recently stumbled across an incredible educational resource which totally demystifies internet marketing, allowing virtually anyone to understand the ABCs of how to make money online. Aside from teaching the many technical aspects of how to set up an online business, I am discovering many other golden nuggets - unique tips and techniques I have never seen compiled together anywhere else.

For example, I have just been reading about a fascinating Japanese philosophy called “Kaizen”. Translated from Japanese, this word means ‘to continually improve’. This concept was a driving force behind Japan’s explosive growth in the global automotive and electronics industries, enabling them to capture the lion’s share of these two markets starting in the late 80’s.

Taking this concept and applying it to an online business is a surefire way to catapult your business into the big leagues. After initially setting up a website for any business venture, all one needs to do is commit to making small, incremental improvements and over time, the end product will become so much more efficient and effective than its original version, success will be assured. This applies to not only the actual design and running of the website (if that is what you are improving) or it could be that you are improving the actual product or service you are selling. Regardless, striving to continually improve and grow the business, bit by bit, is by far the best way to stay leaps and bounds ahead of your competitors.

If you are anything like me, the whole process of setting up a website and conducting business online can appear daunting. Although it can seem overwhelming when learning something new, using the principle of ‘Kaizen’ can make this process as painless as possible. You don’t have to accomplish it all overnight! Slow and steady wins the race - not fast and furious. You can start off small and gradually grow your business by learning new tricks to implement as often as is feasible for you. If you learned something new every week, or month, which would improve your sales by just 5%, and you applied that knowledge to your business, imagine how much more profit you would be generating after only a year? The implications of this are staggering!!

I hope this principle of ‘continual improvement’ has been as helpful and insightful for you as it has been for me. May everyone reading this be blessed with ever-increasing success in their Internet Marketing business.

Onward and Upward, Cherylin Gilad

Using Quizzes and Games to Get Traffic

Posted by admin in Web Infos on December 31st, 2008 |  Comments Off

When it comes to getting young people to visit your website, textual content just doesn’t cut it - there are few things that they want to read articles about, and they certainly don’t want to read articles every day. They like to talk to each other, but they’ll often cause trouble if you let them, not to mention scaring off any older visitors you might have with their questionable grammar. Really, if you want young people to pay you a visit, you need things that work consistently: quizzes and other kinds of games.

All About Quizzes

Kids just can’t get enough quizzes: the reasons why are a mystery, but it’s true. They think it’s great fun to answer questions about yourself only to be told something like “you’re 60% goth - that’s more goth than 83% of the people who’ve taken this quiz so far!” What’s more, not only do they love taking quizzes, but they love making them for each other as well. It’s got to the point where any site offering them the facility to create their own quizzes becomes an overnight hit.

So why the popularity? A big factor in the whole thing is that it’s self-perpetuating: every quiz they complete will give them some HTML for linking to it from their blog, as well as a button to email their results to their friends. Add to this the fact that kids who’ve created a quiz of their own will obviously want to send it to everyone to know, and you’re generating a lot of traffic.

Imagine one kid making a quiz, and sending it to their friends. Out of these friends, maybe five would send their results to their friends, and maybe two would make a quiz of their own. Four of the five invited friends take the quiz, and maybe one goes on to make one. The two who made one of their own send it to all their friends. On and on it goes, like a chain letter (or its modern cousin, the chain email) - it’s unstoppable.

Offering Games

Taking it to the next level, you can offer games to your visitors. Games have the advantage that they appeal to young visitors, but they also appeal to some older ones as well - you don’t limit yourself to being a kids’ website quite as much as you do with quizzes. The downside of games, of course, is that you have to produce them, or pay someone to produce them - it’s not that expensive, but you need to have good ideas if you want your games to get popular.

What’s the best format to offer games in? The answer, without a doubt, is Flash. It’s installed on the overwhelming majority of computers, and lets you create appealing cartoonish graphics without your game running too slowly. Java, for comparison, is intended for more technical users - not only do Java games tend to look dull, but they also make the user’s computer slow to a crawl, not to mention being more likely to just plain not work. If a user doesn’t have Flash, then they can install it as easily as clicking ‘Yes’. Installing Java and other systems tends to be significantly more involved.

The next thing you’ll be wondering, of course, is what kind of games are popular. The answer is just about anything, as long as it’s original. If you’re trying to build a big game, you should make it extensible in the style of Runescape (www.runescape.com) or Habbo Hotel (www.habbohotel.com) - it should be something you could literally play all day without getting bored.

For short games, good versions of classics are always popular if you want a steady trickle of traffic long-term, but if you want a short-term burst of traffic then you might want to look at something topical: humorous games about current events are surprisingly appealing across age ranges, but have a limited shelf life. If you want more significant long-term traffic, then an excellent area to look at is innovative puzzle games: if you can come up with something simple but addictive in the style of PopCap Games (www.popcap.com), you’ll have people coming back for a long time to come.
